HP Pavilion Notebook 17-g121wm

Preparing automatic repair is in a constant loop. I have tried everything that was recommended. I've  shut down 3 times, selected F2, F9 and F11 to run tests and nothing works.

@Sofedup_54, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Automatic Repair Loop on HP Pavilion Notebook!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Experiencing an automatic repair loop on your HP Pavilion Notebook can be frustrating. Here are some steps you might consider taking to resolve the issue:

Access Recovery Environment: Start your notebook and press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears. From here, try accessing the System Recovery options by pressing F11.

Perform System Diagnostics: By pressing F2 at startup, you can run System Diagnostics to check for hardware issues. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a comprehensive hardware check.

Using HP Recovery Partition: If your notebook has a recovery partition, you can press Esc and then F11 to enter recovery mode. This will allow you to restore your system to the factory settings. Note: This will erase all data, so back up your files if possible.

Windows Refresh: You may attempt to refresh Windows if you can access the recovery options. This process reinstalls the system files and Windows without affecting personal files (only works if the system files are intact).

  • Go to "Troubleshoot" in recovery settings.
  • Select "Refresh your PC."

Create Recovery Media: Create a recovery media using another computer. You can do this by downloading a Windows ISO file and creating a bootable USB. Use this USB to boot into recovery options.

Windows Repair Disk: If available, use a Windows repair disk. You would need to insert this disk in your optical drive upon startup to access advanced recovery options.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
