Hello,

I have a HP probook 450 G2.When I bought it,it was a DOS operating system pre-installed on it (Now I'm using Windows7 professional)

Now i wanna do a factory reset. I have searched the net a lot and found that i should use HP cloud recovery tool (don't know what else I can do), but when i run the program, when i press "Next"  in the welcome page,in the "Setting up" window,it stops working and the green filling bar becomes red!

I have some questions:

How can I do a HP factory reset by this software (or any other solution)?

Should i tick the check box  "Enable Proxy"?

Does HP cloud recovery find the media for my laptop automatically and creates a bootable operating system than was installed on my notebook when i bought it?

Please Help me,I've searched a lot and I'm getting confused now!

Thanks...

Hi,

Unfortunately No. Since it came with FreeDOS, nothing to loose whenever/whatever you put anything over the top.

Regards.

I should mention that did a hard drive DST test and it failed.I reinstalled widows but the test failed again.

I want to do the factory reset to find if it is solved or not.
