Hello,
My laptop won't boot properly after an update and keeps showing a blue screen reporting an error code 0xc0000001. To fix this issue, I downloaded and ran the HP Cloud Recovery Tool on another PC to create a bootable recovery USB drive.
Note: I already tried start-up repair, using command prompt, uninstalling latest updates, reinstalling windows 11, and more but they all failed.
I changed the BIOS sequence of the laptop that needs recovering, inserted the USB stick and followed the instructions on screen:
1. I chose a language
2. Selected factory reset (I already have all my files backed up),
3. Clicked next on the welcome screen,
4. Confirmed that I wanted to recover my laptop without backing up files,
5. Waited for factory image preparations to finish
6. Clicked skip when asked if I had a supplemental recovery USB drive
7. And then clicked continue after the recovery preparation completed
Here's the problem: After I clicked continue, a black screen with the HP logo appeared and then I was taken back to the step where I had to choose a language. I went through the same 7 steps again and again and it just kept taking me back to step 1.
Can anyone help please?

From time to time some files on your machine could be missing and/or corrupted. Your machine came with Windows 10 Home 64 and you upgraded to Windows 11 that may also contribute to to the process.
You can install Windows 11 now using
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
To create Installation media and use it to install to your machine. Please remember to tick to keep all user files/data and programs/apps.

Hello, thank you for offering to help
I tried to reinstall Windows 11 using a USB installation media, but there was an error message saying that no drivers were found
Do you perhaps have a solution to this problem?

Hello 19735.
A little "r" changes everything.... Your OS installation media cannot see any drives due to the laptop having 11th gen (Tiger Lake) technology processor. Intel 11th and 12th Generation processors use the new Intel Volume Management Device technology. If your computer is with the 11th Generation Intel processor, then you will find out that Windows cannot find any drives when installing Windows 10/11 Therefore, when you install Windows 10 or Windows 11, you must load the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver so that you can install Windows. It is normal, not an issue/problem to be solved.....
- Which is the right driver for your laptop: On your drivers page the listed driver for storage is https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp135501-136000/sp135584.exe (info https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp135501-136000/sp135584.html)
- What do you do with it: You must extract its contents to the installation media (THAT IS THE USB) and more specifically you need a folder named F6. You have to download an extractor for this, 7zip is free and basically the best. Download 7zip and with it extract all contents of exe on your hard drive. FInd F6 folder and copy that to your USB windows 11 installation media.
- How to use the driver during installation: See these two links with instructions from HP (official) and INTEL https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4859717-4859823-16 https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058724/memory-and-storage/intel-optane-m...
Complete your windows installation and...enjoy a fresh HP-bloatware-free installation of windows 11. I also would advise that you install windows 11 offline (say not now to any popups about updates and stuff) and do the online updates AFTER installation is completed. This is your notebook's drivers page https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-spectre-x360-convertible-laptop-pc-14-ea0000/356... should you need any drivers for windows 11.
Post back if you have any issues...
