I own a HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 which is eligible for the Hp cloud recovery but when presented with the product ID the software says its invalid.

Hi:

 

It sounds to me like you are using the wrong version of the Cloud recovery tool.

 

One version is for consumer class PC's and used the PC's product number.

 

The other version is for HP business PC's like yours and you input the PC's serial number.

 

This is the version of the HP cloud recovery tool you need to use...
