Hi @ELJVB,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Which HP laptop model are you using?
  • Are you planning to configure RAID 0 (striping for performance), RAID 1 (mirroring for redundancy), or another level?
  • Do you already have multiple drives installed, or are you adding new ones?

Here are a few steps you can check while we narrow things down:

  • BIOS/UEFI settings: Enter BIOS (usually by pressing F10 at startup) and see if RAID is listed under Storage Options. If it’s disabled, you’ll need to enable it before Windows can recognize the array.
  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST): Many HP laptops use IRST for RAID. If your system supports it, you may need to install the IRST driver before creating or managing arrays.
  • HP Support Assistant: Running HP Support Assistant can help ensure you have the latest chipset and storage drivers, which are often required for RAID functionality.

I hope this helps.
