Hello All,
Following a motherboard replacement in a CB 14 G4 I proceded to run the current RMA SHim program (from the FTP site).
However the Factory Tests and eventually the GoogleFinalTests fail at the HWID section. It gives a message that the name could not be found in the DB (not exact wording!!) and it fails to finalize. The Model name comes up as: KIP TEST A-A 4528.
I have tried older versions of the RMA SHim program for this model to see if it would make a difference but with no luck.
I have followed the directions properly (I am aware of the write protect screw), just need to know if motherboard needs replacement again or is there a way to correct this error.
Thanks;

I realize this is six months ago, but it definitely sounds like an unprogrammed system board to me. With HP Chromebooks, they do start out with KIP, but what comes after it is different than what you list and different per model.
I also ran into an issue where some LCD screens are not verified by Google and therefore will throw an HWID error when programming the system details, but your issue sounds different than that.
