Hi:

I don't believe that it is even possible to install WXP on that platform, and if by some miracle that it does install, there are no drivers for it.

Certainly not for the graphics or the wireless.

im installing Windows XP on a VM and it doesnt let me connect (error 28) to the internet, i can go through a driver update wizard but i need to be connected to a router so the wizard can access the internet to find the suitable drivers, but i dont have the nessecary drivers so i dont know what to do. i can install it manually but i need network drivers?

Maybe this ethernet driver will work.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the XP driver at the link below.

As I posted earlier, no XP wifi driver exists for the model wifi adapter that notebook has.

Hi

on my Windows XP machine it shows 3 drivers which have not been installed these are:

-  'Base System Device' located on PCI slot 3

-  'Ethernet Controller' located on PCI slot 2

-  'Video Controller (VGA compatible)' located on PCI slot 1

will the driver download you sent me work for all of these 3 drivers? if not can you please send me the appropriate drivers for all 3 drivers.

HP Recommended

The driver I posted is strictly for the ethernet controller.

AMD did not develop any XP or Vista graphics drivers for the video controller, so they do not exist in any shape or form.

Please post the hardware ID for the base system device, and I'll see if there is a driver for that.

To find the hardware ID, click on the Base System Device, and then click on the Details tab at the top of the base system device window.  Post the string of characters you see that begins with PCI\VEN.

The hardware ID is:

PCI\VEN_80EE&DEV_CAFE&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\3&267A616A&0&20

Also with the ethernet controller you sent me a link for the ethernet controller driver download for widnows XP https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/network-interface-controllers-10-100-1000m-gigabit... which one do i download?

The ethernet driver for XP is the 6th one down on the list.

As far as the other device, it is a virtual box device for XP that needs a driver.

I have no idea where to find a driver for that.

Google the ID, and maybe you will find something.
