Hi! i have a Plustek film Scanner installed (USB) in my portable HP Omen, Windows 10, 64bit. It was working perfectly until 4.12.2020. The HP 7.0.18.1 update was automaticly installed when I powered the PC down. Next day I powered the PC up and my Film Scanner did not work anymore. The Scanner icon was disappeared from Devices and Printers. Re-installing the Film Scanner software did not solve the problem. The only obvious cause seems to be 7.0.18.1 update.
I made a System Restore to 23.11.2020 but the HP update is still in Windows 10 update history although it was installed on 4.12.2020. System Restore did not remove it. The HP 7.0.18.1 update is marked grey, so it is not possible to be uninstalled. My question: Is the any method in Windows 10 to uninstall HP 7.0.18.1?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the film scanner stopped working after a recent Windows update.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
System - 7.0.18.1 is the HP 3D drive guard driver (HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor). If you wish to uninstall it, go to device manager and look for HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor and uninstall it.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
