I tried to run the tool thrice but it's not working yet. My laptop is Hp15 au006tx. I had a problem with my battery (i.e) it is not getting fully charged up to(100%). It stops at 84 or 86 %. The battery icon shows a notification that plugged-in but not charging. While resolving that issue, I came across the recall program.

Hi @Anoop786
Thank you for being a part of HP Forums,
It’ll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to identify your concern and address your query.
Sometimes Windows update might cause an issue related to "Plugged in Not Charging"
- Open the Device Manager by searching for it or right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
- Click Batteries on the list to expand it and you should see two items: Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery.
- Right-click on each item and choose Uninstall device. Yes, you are uninstalling your laptop's battery drivers, but don't worry because they will automatically be reinstalled when you restart your laptop.
- Shut down your laptop.
-
Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.
-
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
-
For most laptops, press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to reset.
- Plug in your laptop.
- Power on your laptop.
- Click the battery icon in the system tray and you should see that your laptop is plugged in and charging.
Now to check if your battery is a part of the recall, you can check this link below.
