HP Probook 470 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have tried running the Recovery Disc Creator and making the Windows setup disc twice, and both times it has failed with the same message after sitting at Finalizing writing for about 30 minutes.

Error Message:

failed! Error: 0xc0aa0007 IDiscFormat2Data->Write Failed!

I click ok on the error message and the disc in the dvd writer is still spinning and the light is still active but it won't eject and I have to shut down the computer to get the dvd out.

I really don't want to waste anymore DVD+R DL discs if I don't have too.

Are you using the Cloud Recovery Client to create the discs?

I would contact HP about the failure and see if they can send you a Recovery set:

Which brand of discs are you using? I have had better luck with some brands over others. I have actually never went with DL but use single layer so not really sure which brand would be best in DL. Verbatim is the brand I see mentioned most. In single layer Sony always provided dependable results. Maxell/Memorex the worst.

I am using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs.  I tried to use single layer DVD's but the program tells me that I can only use dual layer discs for the windows setup disc.  I don't have any other dual layer discs available to test that theory, I had to order these online.

I used the cloud recovery option and it installed to a USB flash drive.  Thank you for your help!
