Welcome to the HP Support forum.
I noticed your previous thread here >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/How-to-recover-my-driver-s/m-p/...
and I think this one here is a follow up (extensions) the other issue.
Based on your input there I can conclude your recovery partition may not function well or is corrupt.
Luckily, there are other ways to restore your PC to factory default condition -> use original HP Recovery media.
1. Visit this URL and purchase the media >> http://www.computersurgeons.com/p-21725-recovery-kit-686979-001-for-hp-pavilion-notebook-pc-model-nu...
This one is valid of USA,CA (North America) and costs around 27 USD. The discs include Windows, drivers, preinstalled apps
2. Once you receive the recovery kit, use the first DVD disc and boot from it (F9) option.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery and restore to factory default condition.
Here are details >> http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=HPSystemRecovery.net§ion=ccweb&sfs=tdoc&lc=en&language=e...
3. Once Windows is reinstalled and procedure is complete:
3.1 Disable Automatic Windows Updates (from Control Panel -> Windows Updates)
3.2 Install the Windows 7 "SP2" / Convenience roll up pack to get updated in a fast manner >> https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-obtain-and-install-windows-7-sp2/c2c700...
3.3 Install reputable security software (antivirus/firewall)
3.4 Ensure your apps are updated
3.5 Uninstall some preinstalled apps you may not need
Let me know if this helps. Don't hesitate to post again.
