HP Notebook 15-af152nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Created a Recovery Media USB.......now I find out grandson used it to try and fix his system and it is FUBAR'd big time.

Is there a way I can create another USB system recovery and if not, is Windows 10 Recovery Drive USB the same

thing as to reload a corrupted OS or as backup?????

Just upgraded to Windows 10 Home OS, version 1903 yesterday.

Hi

Just to add to Banhien's excellent answer, and to more directly answer ...

is Windows 10 Recovery Drive USB the same

thing as to reload a corrupted OS or as backup?????

  NO.

If your PC came with a W10, then the Microsoft page

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

is a good place to start.

(NB: The HP backup software is usually tied to the specific model and doesn't transfer)

You can add into the 8 or 16 GB USB Flash drive another Directory called HP_Drvrs and add in whatever suits.

X:\>dir

02/04/2019 00:31 128 autorun.inf
02/04/2019 00:57 <DIR> boot
02/04/2019 00:18 409,654 bootmgr
02/04/2019 00:31 1,509,688 bootmgr.efi
02/04/2019 00:57 <DIR> efi
09/08/2018 16:55 <DIR> HP_Drvrs
02/04/2019 00:31 73,904 setup.exe
23/05/2019 11:47 <DIR> sources
02/04/2019 00:57 <DIR> support
6 File(s) 1,997,935 bytes
5 Dir(s) 1,132,748,800 bytes free

This stick should then cover both PC's.

If in doubt please ask.
