Looking for some help. Went to upgrade from windows 7 to 10 and upgrade failed. Now have blue screen with iastor.sys shown as an error.
I have the orginal recovery and driver discs. Also my own recovery discs. However, none of the recovery discs solve the blue screen.
Tried windows repair with no luck.
Any ideas how to recover from this persistant blue screen.
Thank you

What is the exact product number, full model name of the notebook?
Have you tried installing Intel chipset and Intel storage drivers from your HP support page after installation of Windows 7?

Is this BSoD happening when you plug in laptop to AC power and powering on, with and without battery?
Do a hard reset, try again:

Enter safe mode to Windows and install those driver I linked to in my previous post or you can download those from your support page.

I'm not sure to find any model with the numbers you gave.
Which operating system after you in? Have you performed factory reset to Windows 7 as mentioned in your first post? .

Unfortunately it wont load into safe mode. It goes through the process of loading, then the Blue screen appears briefly. Then it tries to repair windows which also is unsuccessful.
Is it possible do you know to install from a disc or USB stick.
F0U536ET. Not sure if that's an zero or capital o. Model is shown with warranty info on hp site.
Thank you.

If you're able to read all 25 characters of Windows 7 product activation code from COA sticker,
You can try clean install of Windows 7, read Paul Tikkanen's post here:

If it is not Home Premium edition,
Get Windows 7 ISO for the edition that came with your laptop from here:
