Funny thing is this looks just like my issue I was dealing with for weeks trying to set up a recovery manager that seems to be surprisingly difficult for HP developer to figure out. I wonder how much they make on selling recovery disk. But be careful cause when you get the recovery disk it will really screw up your PC with a blue screen. I know that is HP because one time I used another windows program and I had no problem restoring my PC. It seems like everything you buy from HP breaks and leads to another purchase or repair cost. And all the techs are resourced outside the US so they don't give a crap about anything except making a sale. They treat you like crap if you not willing to purchase their CD's and repairs and plugs and hard drives. If you ask me Id steer clear of asking HP for anything!

All of a sudden my CD drive doesn't work. My bios will not update. My UEFI has no info. Its no wonders HP has to take the lead in front of Microsoft development systems with their AWESOME recovery system.. so they can so everyone what a wonderful job they do keeping their PCs Rockin n Rollin. It's kind of funny that when you search for fixes for HP, HP Support is trolled all over the front listings of google but they don't have one piece of helpful info to provide. Thank goodness for the other out there who can give better support than HP ever dreamed
