while i was setting up to recover my computer with my recovery usb HP sent me through the mail.  my recovery setup could no go any further because there was a failure during the process. There was a box that appered on the screen that gave me three options. SAVE LOG. VIEW DETAILS. RESTART RECOVERY. I clicked on VIEW DETAILS and said

Possible Causes:

  1. Yellow Bang occured at Device Manager
  2. Some silent install failure of application
  3. Found failed at PININST BBV
  4. Found failed at PININST BBV2
  5. Found Memory Dump File

Suggestions:

  1. Checking REGEV_BB.LOG for drivers
  2. Checking DDApps. log for application
  3. Checking MEMDUMP_BBV.log for memory dump file

If anyone could be so kind and guide me through the hurdle i would really appreciate it!!!

Hello

Seems there were external devices connected to the pc due to which the pc started searching for drivers.

You have not mentioned the model of your pc so not sure which versions of Windows you're running & what are the specs of the pc.

So here's my suggestion : Dsiconnect all external devices and just have the mouse keyboard monitor and tower connected is its a desktop, else just the power cable if its a notebook before you begin the process of recovery. Secondly once the copying of files are done and it asks you restart the pc to start the extracting of files, remove the usb since all files have been copied else pc will boot from usb again and start off again. thirdly there will be a lot of pops during the recovery process, do not click anything until you see the message that recovery is complete and restart to set up the pc.
