Hi
I use these....
https://download.cnet.com/Bitdefender-Antivirus-Free/3000-2239_4-75902507.html
https://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

First try and remove any virus and root-kit infection, as a reformat does not guarantee protection.

The backups you made are they going to re-introduce the virus?

Make a DVD/USB and boot from that to clean the system as best you can, the tdsskiller for instance and then ....

If in doubt please ask.

Actually I have asked the other forum they said they don't have a solution for that virus yet so they asked me to back up my files in a drive or any external storage and I do as they ask for. Now I want to reformat to remove the virus BTW the virus is called MADO. It made all my files encrypted and ask for a ransom. So I think I can remove the virus by reformatting my Laptop. Well I'm not planning to recover those backed up files in my newly reformatted laptop, I just want to reformat it.

Hi Umm... I can't understand what you said. Do you have a tutorial video or Step by step tutorial about reformatting HP Laptop(Compaq)?
