Hi @Stratomaster1
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand your HP Chromebook is no longer powering on after reinstalling the battery and replacing the touchscreen.
Kindly confirm do you see any charging light when the AC adapter is connected?
- Was the battery disconnected before the touchscreen cable was connected or removed?
- Have you tried powering it on with the AC adapter connected?
- Kindly confirm if the replacement was carried out at the HP authorized service center with the genuine HP parts ?
Also kindly try these below steps and confirm :
- Disconnect USB devices and other accessories.
- Connect the original HP AC adapter directly to a working wall outlet.
- Leave it connected for at least 30 minutes.
- Hold the Refresh key and press the Power button. Release Refresh when the Chromebook starts. This is HP's hardware-reset procedure for the Chromebook 14-ca000 series.
- If there is still no charging/power light, kindly carefully check that the battery connector and touchscreen/display connections are fully seated, as the behaviour began after the unit was opened.
Kindly refer to the HP document for HP Chromebook Notebook PCs – Standard Method to Perform a Hardware Reset. - Click here
You can also follow HP's official guide here: HP Chromebooks - Chromebook is not charging or does not turn on - Click here Also I recommend checking the charging connection, performing a hard reset, and allowing additional charging time when required.
Since the Chromebook stopped powering on directly after the battery was removed and the touchscreen was replaced, this may be related to a battery/power connection or another internal connection disturbed during the repair. If the Chromebook shows no charging or power indication after these checks, kindly have the internal connections and power circuit inspected by an HP-authorized technician.
I hope this helps.
