Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I bought my laptop (HP 14q-cs0023tu) and from the 10th or 12th day after purchase, it started killing me with the Blue Screen (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR) from that day onwards. I have done all possible fixes like updating drivers, reinstalling Windows 10 (8 Times), HP Cloud Recovery, SFC Scans, etc but still it shows up. Also the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI is not showing any errors in my SSD/Memory. I am currently in Windows 2004 with all updates done. Can anyone suggest me any other fixes? I would also like to add that HP Customer Support people never call back at all, and there is no good way to reach them. This problem is really eating my head as it is not at all allowing me to work productively. Someone please do suggest me a method.

Thanks

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting bluescreen errors on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Did you issue started after any Windows updates?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS, chipset, and graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi @The_Fossette!

Thank you so much for replying to my post. There is no specific time for which my laptop was working fine. On an average, I at least get the error once a day. Nowadays there is a new problem as well. there is a Boot Device Not Found error that comes even though there is an OS installed on the hard disk. My laptop is up to date with all drivers and updates. Even the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics is not showing any errors. If there is any other fix, please do let me know. I am simultaneously in contact HP Support India but I don't think they too have any solutions to this.

I recommend you install the Windows 1909 version on the computer and check if it helps.

Hi @The_Fossette,

I tried going back to 1909 as well. Still there seems to be a problem. There is always a problem while booting. The Hard Drive or Solid State Drive is not detected at the beginning of the boot. It struggles for a while, shows the Hard Drive (3FO) error and after a few minutes of struggle, it boots to Windows 10.
