HP Spectre x360 - 13-4106na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have replaced my SSD drive in my HP Spectre x360 13-4106na laptop.

I then installed Windows 10 Pro from a USB stick.

Now when the laptop boots it displays the Windows logo on startup as opposed to the HP logo.

I don't think there is anything for me to be concerned about but I am curious as to where it was picking up the HP logo?

When I purchased the machine it was running Windows Home and I upgraded it to Windows Pro, this time I installed Windows Pro from scratch from an image that I got from Microsoft support.

Is it that when new the Windows 10 Home is installed by HP it is an OEM copy that includes their logo, (and the upgrade to Pro simply retains the HP branding) - or should the HP branding be coming from the firmware?

My only concern is if the HP logo is not being displayed is there anything else that is HP specific that will no longer  be available?

I have been into the BIOS and applied the HP function keys and the laptop seems to be behaving pretty much as it did before.

You are correct in that the original version was HP OEM and included HP stuff like the logo, HP utilities, and HP recovery.

When you did the Upgrade, all it did was overwrite some of the Windows system files, so the HP stuff remained intact.

Now, you have a different version and there is no way to add the HP stuff to it.
