I hope this message finds you well. I purchased my HP laptop in February 2024, and I am reaching out regarding a critical issue with Windows activation.
Due to technical issues, the laptop had to undergo a recovery process facilitated by HP Support. While the recovery was successful, I am now unable to activate Windows, which was pre-installed with the laptop at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, the credentials I have do not match the details on my Microsoft account.
I have attempted to resolve this through your AI assistant and phone support, but I was unable to address my concerns effectively. As the end of January 2025 approaches, I urgently need your support to retrieve the activation key for this device.
I have attached screenshots and device details for your reference. Here is the basic information about my laptop:
Device Name: PURVASAWANT
OS Edition: Windows 11 CoreSingleLanguage
Version: 2009
Serial Number: [Personal Information Removed]
I kindly request your immediate assistance in resolving this issue so I can activate Windows on my device. Please let me know if you require any further information or documentation from my end.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Nita

Use show key plus to get the product key

Windows 11 and Windows 10: In most cases, Windows 11 and Windows 10 activates automatically using a digital license and doesn’t require you to enter a product key. Read about this here.
If you tried a windows restore / install and are asked for a key then possibly you are restoring window's "home" using the window's "pro" version. The product key will tell you what version is required.
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files. If your system ie less than 5 years old you should be able to go here and install factory OS.
Example of Omen 30L motherboard that never had an OS. Note that there is no OEM key in the firmware and the license is retail. The motherboard was replaced and had to be reactivated with the purchased key (the installed one)
Note that currently the Microsoft policy for Windows 10 and 11 is that it can be used indefinitely but you will have to put up with a nag screen that reminds you to activate.
Let me know if a problem
