Reset won't work

I've been trying to factory reset my laptop and the first time it worked years ago but I've tried again and it worker for awhile then suddenly "stopped downloading" when it was preparing to reset , now when I try it starts off at 30% and takes for ever so I leave it on and go about my day and again I came back and nothing had reset , restarted or anything and the screen which said it was preparing to reset is gone

- Let me know if the printer is connected to Windows Computer or MAC Computer or Android Phone or iPhone.

- Let me know the version of the operating system installed on the computer connected to the printer. 

- Connection method - USB, physical LAN, or wireless?
- Error messages (if any) on the unit.
