HP PAVILION 11-N010DX

I bought a user locked laptop and factory reset it now it is stuck on a loop on the restoration incomplete  screen. I do not have a recovery disk or usb. Any suggestions?

Hi:

The product specs indicate that your PC came with W8.1.

You can reinstall W8.1 for free by making your own W8.1 installation media from the link below.

Select the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file download.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can use other free utilities such as Rufus.

After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-11-x360-PC-series/6796818/model/6970533

Note:  You should not be asked to enter a product key when you go to install W8.1.

If you are, go back and download the W8.1 64 bit single language ISO file and you should be fine.

Some models come with W8.1 single language and there is no mention of it on the notebook's specs page.

Nothing has worked so far. I even looked through the main settings when you press esc then F9. Pop up menu says repeatedly "SYSPREP WAS NOT LAUNCHED PROPERLY...

THE PROCESS WILL CAUSE CTO PANIC BECAUSE THE IMAGE MIGHT NOT BE NORMAL..."

Then goes right back to the HP Recovery Manager pop up saying "RESTORATION INCOMPLETE" giving the following options:

SAVE LOG

DETAILS

RETRY

Then I just keep restarting it amd going through the same thing. The usb is plugged up but how can it even read it if it takes like 3p seconds to boot and flashes me this pop up over and over

You need to make the plain W8.1 installation media and clean install W8.1

You are wasting your time with the HP recovery manager.
