HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st was formatted after it faced restart issue and Windows  was reinstalled . How to recover/retrieve the preinstalled , licensed version of Windows 10  after formatting ?

Hi:

 

The W10 product key/license is in your notebook's BIOS.

 

You don't need it to reinstall W10, and it should have automatically activated.

 

Your notebook should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

 

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

If you currently have W10 installed, you can install this free utility from the Microsoft Store that will show you the W10 product key and the version of W10 the key is good for.
