Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

For about a month I have not been able to detect my sd card anymore. I have tested the sd card in another device and it works. I tried to update the bios, but nothing. I don't know which is the driver for the chipset of my pc and the driver for the sd card reader, someone can help me

Hi:

 

I looked at your notebook's support page and the support page for the base model 14-z000 and there is no SD card reader driver.

 

I'm assuming that HP has used the Realtek SD card reader in that model like they do for most others.

 

See if installing the SD card reader driver directly from the Realtek site gets the SD card reader to work again.

 

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the first file at the link below.

 

Card Reader Solutions > Card Reader Controllers Software - REALTEK

 

The chipset driver you can get from AMD.  Select the W8.1 64 bit chipset driver from the list.

 

The one that is 50 MB in size.

This forum member with the same model series had the same issue and unfortunately wasn't able to resolve the problem.
