Sounds like the SSD has failed, or it has a loose connection, but it's highly unlikely that M.2 SSDs have a loose connection.

You can reseat the SSD and if it still doesn't show up, it most likely failed.

HP Recommended

I removed SSD and placed it back several times now, so there is no question for loose connection.

So we think it has failed

Failed u mean it will not work now or just corrupted?

Can you also address to the second issue I had i.e. TPM.

My system had TPM and I installed win 11 on the system.

But suddenly one day (5 days ago) riot vanguard sent notification that TPM is not installed. I checked bios and no TPM option was there in bios.

Please help.

It appears to be dead.

But a seemingly dead M.2 SSD can be revived with the power cycle procedure. Here are some references if you want to try.

If your bios doesn't have a TPM option, how did you install W11 on the SSD in the beginning?

I still want to know if the W10 installer asked for IRST driver during the W10 installation on the HDD.

1:- win10 installed did not asked anything it was easy install only problem was when I turned legacy mode off system was not recognising my HDD.

2:- that time TPM was available, that's why it is an issue i.e. how TPM disappeared suddenly.

HP Recommended

I saw online reports that TPM suddenly disappeared from BIOS after Windows update or BIOS update, but I don't know what happened in your case.

My laptop has battery issue, it was on sleep and when I lifted the lid, screen did not wake up.

It went on boot loop. 2 to 3 times.

Them it turns on and lock screen appears.

On lock screen where I should put password had a text saying something like " can't generate pin right now " (something like that I don't remember completely). I clicked on try again, it asked me to login with an account.

I logged in using the same Microsoft account I was using before.

Then a screen appeared to create a new pin. I created a pin and every thing was fine. (NOTE -  this all is happening before SSD failure and I am running windows 11 since 3/2 years so there was no issue of TPM that time)

Then I was opening riot Clint to play some valorant and I got a pop up window saying TPM 2.0 is not available.

I checked TPM.msc. No TPM was found .

I checked bios and there was no option for TPM.

Then I check windows update and there was a firmware update. I ran the update bios got updated and My Storage failed..
