Hi @Rana51

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining that—when some keys stop responding, it can really throw off your rhythm.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help restore full keyboard functionality on your HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000.

🧼 Step 1: Clean and Inspect the Keyboard

  • Power off your laptop.
  • Use compressed air or a soft brush to gently clean around the affected keys.
  • Check for any stuck or sticky keys—debris can block key presses.

🔄 Step 2: Restart and Check for Updates

  • Restart your laptop to clear temporary glitches.
  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.
  • This ensures your system has the latest keyboard drivers.

🧰 Step 3: Reinstall Keyboard Drivers

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and choose Uninstall device.
  3. Restart your laptop—Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

🧪 Step 4: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

🧠 Step 5: Check Accessibility Settings

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
  • Turn off Sticky Keys, Filter Keys, and Toggle Keys—these can interfere with normal typing.

🧼 Step 6: Try an External Keyboard

  • Connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard.
  • If it works fine, the issue is likely with the laptop’s built-in keyboard.

If the problem persists after these steps, the keyboard may need servicing. But let’s stay hopeful—these fixes often do the trick. Let me know how it goes, and I’ll be right here to help with the next move!
