I have been having some trouble getting the updates to stop when I want them to. For some reason software on my laptop that I don't even use keeps updating, causing my laptop to almost turn off in the middle of a Zoom meeting. I am wondering if there is any way for me to schedule updates so that they don't interfere with my meetings. Thank you.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
You can schedule updates so that the computer doesn't update while you are working.
Firstly, sign in to your Google account using your administrator account
From the Admin console Home page, go to Devices
Chrome.
- Click Device settings.
- To apply the setting to all devices, leave the top organizational unit selected. Otherwise, select a child unit.
- Go to Device update settings
Auto-update settings.
- From the Automatic updates menu, select Stop auto-updates.
- Click Save.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
