Hi @Kuroi_Kenshi,
Thank you for sharing the results. Since the SSD passed the extensive test and Windows Setup launched, we have a clearer picture of where the recovery process is getting stuck.
The important detail is that bootrec /scanos and bootrec /rebuildbcd both report 0 identified Windows installations.
This does not necessarily mean the SSD has failed, but we need to determine whether the existing Windows installation is accessible and whether the correct Windows partition and EFI system partition are being used.
Before running more boot-repair commands, could you please confirm two things?
Do you need to preserve files on the internal SSD?
Some recovery options can erase data, so we should avoid those until this is clear.
When you boot from the Windows USB, select Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt. Run diskpart, then list vol, and share the volume numbers, drive letters, file systems, sizes, and labels shown. Please do not run clean, format, or delete the partition.
The Access is denied result from bootrec /fixboot can occur in some UEFI boot-repair situations, and repeating that command is unlikely to help without checking the partition layout first. Also, because Windows Setup opens, I would not recommend a BIOS update at this stage.
Once we know whether the Windows partition and EFI partition are present and accessible, we can choose the appropriate next step for your HP ENVY x360 15-ey0xxx (66B44UA#ABA).

Hi @Harrisadam1
Thank you for clarifying. Since you would like to preserve your files if possible, let’s avoid any commands that erase or format the drive.
When DiskPart displays the list of available commands again, please try entering the command exactly as follows:
diskpart
Once you see DISKPART>, enter:
list volume
There needs to be a space between list and volume.
Please share a photo of the results. If a photo is not possible, share the volume number, drive letter, file system, size, label, and status for each volume.
Please do not run clean, format, or delete at this point.
Since the SSD has already passed the Extensive Test and Windows Setup is loading, checking the Windows and EFI partitions should give us the next useful piece of information before we make any changes that could affect your files.
Regards,
