HP Notebook 15-ac107na

A few days ago my laptop started booting up with the error message : The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid: System Board (OOa) - System Board. Now my laptop battery will only charge whilst it’s turned off and drains in less than an hour when I’m using it. My warranty ran out in October 19 so if there’s a way I can avoid paying loads of money to fix it, I’d love to hear it.

Thanks.

Greetings from the HP Community!

You might see this message after the system board is replaced.

The message indicates that the serial number was not entered, or was entered incorrectly, after replacing the system board or other component.

To resolve this issue, contact HP using the Contact Support tab at the top of this screen. You will be asked to provide the fourteen-digit System Board Commodity Tracking (CT) Number. Use the steps in one of the following sections to find the CT Number:
