My laptop says system disabled: 

A-LFDF554A71

 

 when I try to boot it up

The message “System Disabled: A-LFDF554A71” appears when the system security lock (BIOS/Startup password) has been triggered after multiple incorrect attempts. This is a built-in security feature designed to protect your data and device from unauthorized access.
 

In this situation, support options are limited from our end, and we do not have the ability to remotely generate or provide unlock keys for this type of code.
 

We recommend visiting an authorized HP service center so they can securely verify ownership and assist you further. You can locate one through HP Support or your nearest HP authorized store.

Please make sure to carry:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) 
  • A valid ID 
  • The laptop itself 

The service team will guide you with the appropriate steps to resolve the issue, and this will be a chargeable support, and it's not covered under warranty.
