I don't understand what has caused this sudden change. My laptop is set to ask me to move to tablet mode when flipped but does not do that anymore, even though the setting is set the same. Autorotate is greyed out if I manually change it to tablet mode and I have tried every single solution available on the internet for this problem, including restoring a previous Windows version, going to settings and changing to portrait, changing the number to 1 from 0 in settings, updating drivers

I don't know what to do! Can someone please urgently assist

Hi guys

For anyone facing the same issue, I ended up visiting my nearest HP centre and they were quite helpful. After trying everything I had too, they called the HP support and went through other steps. Turns out my laptop needed a BIOS update and everything works after that!

I think they went to the HP Support website (support.hp.com) ---> Software and drivers -----> Laptop ----> Automatically detect or type in your serial number

A list of updates should come up and you need to install the BIOS one. Use the same automatic settings and hopefully that helps!
