Hi ammy08,
I saw your post regarding the recovery disc error message. The original poster sent it in to an HP Service Center to fix it. Are you using the recovery discs that you created yourself? Are there any scratches or other marks on the CDs? What is your operating system and product number?

i have ordered the recovery cd from hp and their are no scratches on it coz i have got d RCD from hp by payment.
I am using windows 8 and my product no. is F2C09PA#J
HP Pavillion 15 Notebook PC 15- n012TX
plzz provide the solution...

Hi ammy08,
Do you recall if the wireless light was on when you tried to do the Recovery? That can cause the issue you were having. See the information in the link below.

Enter BIOS by tapping F10 key immediately after powerng on the laptop and change the year from 2013 to 2012. Save & Exit. Try Recovery again.
If no joy-Enter BIOS once more.Once in, tap F9 key to reset to Default settings. Save & Exit.

Hello,
We seem to be having the same exact problem, however whenever we press the button to turn the wifi on, nothing happens. the light on the button stays orange. We have changed the date and it still does not work. Any ideas? Thanks
