Hey jeanrandom
I got the exact same problem.
I got a Hp pavilion 15-cb.
I cleaned my fans.
And now i got the exact same problem as you. I can only start it with F2. And it doesn't recognize the grafics card.
Do you have a solution?
04-20-2020 04:29 PM
Nop, unfortunately there is no solution. I reached the support who told me to send them the computer to change the fan for 281$ (190€ with a 30% discount) but i have already changed the fans myself.
I think that the best solution would be to downgrade the bios version, but we can't do that with hp laptop. It would be good if they can deliver a new bios version based on the old one.

Hi mate,
What's the model of your computer ? Have you ever opened your notebook?
According to DaMa03's diagnosis it seems that the graphics card temp sensor is broken. The computer thinks that the GPU is always over 100°C so it shuts down itself.

Omen i7 GTX 1050ti
I've opened the laptop to clean the fans which wasn't really dirty. I tried uninstalling the NVIDIA drivers to reinstall them, but now it says it's not compatible with the version of windows.
Is there any real fix for this or is it a MOB replacement?
Thanks

That's not a software issue so there is nothing to do. Yes we have to fix the motherboard. Also you can use your computer by pressing esc and going to diag mode (f2), and then leave it. Like that you'll be able to start and have acces to your computer.
