I updated the NVIDIA Drivers and BIOS. So it could also be the NVIDIA drivers. But the throttling is gone. First, the highest temperature allowed was 68 degrees. After the update, it was 75 degrees. And I can play smoothly with AC Adapter. I used the HP Support Assistant program.

Hate to ruin the joy but i tried all of it. Nothing worked after hours and hours of support they agreed thr i7 snd mx150 might need a 90w adapter instead of 60.

So updates wont fix it for these specs..

Your listed specs are confusing. My laptop (CC593ND) is fitted with a i5 7200U and a NVIDIA 940MX.

Can you provide more info? When did you update the BIOS/Drivers and are you sure that it is fully gone?

I've updated BIOS to latest F.13 and updated NVIDIA to latest drivers (from NVIDIA site). Still got throttling.

Update: HP support sent me a 90W adapter (the one you get with the laptop originally is 65W) and it solved the throttling problem for me! To be sure, i'm talking about the HP Pavilion 15-CC593ND.
