HP Spectre x360 Convertible

Hi,

I have a new HP Spectre x360 Convertible, bought only 6 weeks ago. The touchpad scrolling function has just stopped working so I cannot scroll down pages or zoom in and out using the touchpad. I have tried to update the driver under Device Manager for Synpatics HID Touchpad but the system says that the latest driver is installed.  I have also checked the hardware tab under Mouse Properties which says that the device is working properly. Not sure what else to do.

Any help would be much appreciated!

If I was you I would Uninstall then Reinstall Synaptic HID Touchpad from the Device Manager..

Get a usb mouse you can just plug in. (you don't have to but helps getting around)

Look for the newest driver from HP driver support page and download it.

In  Device Manager, right click on Synaptic HID Touchpad, Uninstall driver, and Restart the laptop..

Then Install the New Driver package. Restart.
see if that helps.
