So my HP 470 G8 notebook has had some issues the last few months. I had multiple BSODs, that gave me hard drive codes. Then the last few days, the PC has slowed down so much that it is almost unusable, however, there have been a few times in the many restarts that I have done, where it wasn't slowed down and was behaving like it did before.
I want to start fresh with Windows 11, I have created a boot device on a flash drive. I have also added the drivers from this previous post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Need-storage-driver-to-install-... onto the flash drive.
I have suspended bitlocker.
When starting the process, I went to load drivers, selected 1 of the 2 that showed up as compatible, (I tried both) starting the process, it starts to work, but it has failed every time.
I am currently running Windows 11 24H2, is there a more updated driver I should be using? Is there another setting I am missing that I should be turning on/off?
Thanks.

Just install everything from this official HP website.
For the rest of the drivers, try using third-party software Driver Easy Pro.
Especially the chipset driver and Firmware are very important, Firmware also adjusts the brand of your SSD (Solid State Drive).

I was hoping for a clean slate and with the bare minimum installed for Windows 11. I don't want anything that I have no intention of using. I will try the HP way and see what happens, maybe I can do the boot flash drive method after.

I tried downloading the drivers from there, but the Driver - Storage ones that are compatible with my laptop weren't there, it was in that older post I linked to. I need to reinstall windows to see if that fixes my issue or if I need a new pc

You mention in your original post that you had hard drive-related problems.
I suggest that you run a diagnostic test on bootup because, if the hard drive had issues, there would be no sense to talk about drivers.
Turn on the notebook and immediately tap the F2 key fast for hard drive tests. Run Smart check and extensive (long) DST test.
If the tests generate a failure code, you need a new hard drive. If the drive comes out clean, keep reading.
Since your model comes with an Intel Core 11th gen processor, the Windows installer needs Intel RST VMD controller drives. If you followed Paul's instructions, you should've seen 'iaStorvd.inf' driver files the Windows installer needed to detect the hard drive.
What are the two drivers displayed that you said didn't work? Uncheck the little box on the bottom left corner of the screen to see if any 'iaStorvd.inf' files are displayed.
If you still have the problem, something could be wrong with the Windows installation media you created. if you made a bootable installation usb drive with the ISO file + a utility tool, try Microsoft Media Creation Tool.
If nothing works, you can use HP Cloud Recovery media. Did your model come with Windows pre-installed?

as Mr. Tk_srq said, if the storage drive (SSD or HDD) on your laptop is problematic, then it must be replaced and reinstall Windows.
To check if there is an error on your storage drive:
- Using CrystalDiskInfo software.
- Through File Explorer, click This PC, right-click on the drive you want to check (drive C), select properties, move to the Tools tab, click Check in the Error checking section.
- Through Command Prompt (CMD), run CMD in administrator mode, type the command: wmic diskdrive get status.
To create a bootable installation usb drive from an ISO file, you need a bootable driver that matches your laptop's CPU, download it from the CPU brand website. If Intel, the name is Intel Rapid Storage, after downloading, extract it, and copy all the files to the usb drive installation media.
