My HP 16gb pendrive too got the same problem. I had tried all the solutions you mentioned. Still suffering from the disk protection issue. Even i didnt done any write protection yo my USB. I have been using it only in my mobile for the last 3 months. 2 weeks ago when i tried to copy soma file grom my mobile it shows failed. When i tried in PC it shows device is qrite protected. Please find me some solution.
