HP 15 Notebook PC 5CD4294L5V
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

The general key: 334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT is accepted in Windows 8.1 USB flash drive Installation Media setup and goes all the way to the end, but always brings me back to the Windows 8.1 setup again. I am caught in this loop and don't know how to correctly proceed.

Is there anyone who can give correct guidance?

P.S. Trying to "repair it" instead of "install" in the Windows 8 setup window in Reset your PC says that a required drive partition is missing.

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it came with W8.1 with Bing, so there isn't an ISO file you can download from Microsoft.

The only free way that I know of to install W8.1 with Bing would be to read the info at the link below toward the bottom of the page for how to create a W8.1 w/Bing ISO file.

I have run into the same issue as you have, and sometimes you can remove the USB flash drive when Windows goes to restart at the moment the PC is momentarily turned off.

I think your best option if you can make the W8.1 w/Bing ISO file would be to burn it to a DVD and you won't run into that issue.

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below to transfer the file to a DVD so that it is bootable.

When you have the correct W8.1 installation file the product key in your notebook's BIOS is good for you do not need to enter a product key.

Other than that, your only option would be to order W8.1 w/BIng recovery media from HP at the link below.
