Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wanted to use the the company laptop as personal laptop for the summer holidays. As the hard drive unit is secure with bitlocker, but the Bios is unlocked I bought a SSD drive in order to install the Windows and just replace the hard disk unit.

The issue that I faced while I try to boot from the Windows USB bootable is that appears as disabled. I'm unable to change it by using F5 command. How can this be changed it?

On the other hand legacy support

@Luthius

The company laptop is THEIR property, not YOURS.  Then have only issued it to you, most likely to use in your work.

I mention this because every company laptop I have used has been locked down by the IT folks to prevent just the kind of thing you are trying to do.  And in my companies, tampering with that was a FIRING offense!  You don't want to risk your job to mess around with THEIR equipment.

So to be safe, you need to take the laptop into your company and see if the IT folks are willing to change the settings to allow you to do this.  My guess is that they will say NO.

Thanks for your feedback. It seems to be wird that the bootable USB can be locked without having any password at BIOS menu.
