HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been trying to factory reset my HP stream all day and I just keep getting an error that it wasn’t able to complete. I wish I were surprised but I have had constant issues with this device since I purchased it in 2019.  What can I do to reset it besides take a hammer to it?

Factory reset is like a hammer! It seldom works.

What you need now is a USB Bootstick (Media Creation Tool)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Prepare that stick and boot from that stick and make a clean install.
During setup erase the complete disk.
When ready, look for a Backup & Recovery program ( like Macrium) and use that instead of Cloud Recovery Tools etc.
