Unrecognised Product ID

Please could you kindly let me know why Product ID is not recognised when trying to enter it to HP Recovery Tool?

What is your notebook's product ID?

If the notebook is 5 or more years old, HP withdraws support for the cloud recovery tool and you would need to use the Microsoft W10 or W11 media creation tool to reinstall Windows on your PC.

Hi:

Yes, apparently, the notebook was released to market sometime in 2022 but for some reason the cloud recovery tool has no image for that model when I enter the product number in the Partsurfer database.

Since Microsoft ended support for W10 earlier this month, it would probably be better if you install W11.

You can do that by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the Microsoft media creation tool from the link below (2nd option).

Download Windows 11

If you prefer to install W10, you would use this version of the Media creation tool instead.

Download Windows 10

After Windows has completed installing you can install the drivers from your notebook's support page.
