Hi,
This is an old laptop so the hard-drive was on its last legs and now starts up with warnings.
So I got a 'Crucial' SSD which I was assured was compatible with this machine.
But the laptop wont recognise the SSD.
I'm assuming this is due to the BIOS needing updating.
I updated the BIOS to ver. F.07, but this is still not recent enough for the SSD.
So I tried to update to a later version, but when I go to install this through Windows, I am told to first update to F.08.
I cant find this anywhere.
Any ideas on where to find F.08 / how to update the BIOS on this machine to enable it to recognise the SSD?
[I desperately installed a copy of Windows 10, but thats achieved nothing]
Many thanks
