The honest answer is -- probably NOT.
But you MIGHT be able to recover some data if you remove the drive from the laptop, connect it to a working PC, and then run a file recovery utility to see what can be found.
One of the best I have used is GetDataBack from RunTime software. It is not free, you have to buy it.
