Hi @maxomini,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The BIOS version AMI F.10 dated 2024-04-10 appears to be the latest stable version for the HP Spectre x360 13.5-inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC (14-ef0000). The update file sp155085.exe, which you downloaded, may not be compatible if it was intended for a different submodel of the Spectre x360 lineup.
Here are some suggestions to resolve your issue.
- Verify the Exact Model: Double-check your laptop's full model number to ensure compatibility with the BIOS update. This can often be found in the HP Support Assistant or the System Information tool in Windows.
- Reconfirm BIOS Update from HP: Visit the HP Support page for the HP Spectre x360 14-ef0000 and manually select your operating system. This ensures that you're downloading the correct update version for your device.
Make sure to follow all precautions during BIOS updates, including connecting your laptop to a power source and avoiding interruptions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
