Hi,

I was updated my windows to 1803 for x64 based. And after this update done, my audio didn't work. Even i reinstall driver for conexant isst audio in my laptop. At first i thought my audio broken. So, i brought to HP Centre and solved. They said, they just updated driver not replaced my audio. Well, then i went home and tried to played music and yeah it worked. But only for around 3 hours. After that,  my audio stoped again. I found the same sign trouble like before.

And then i read this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4468550/audio-stops-working-after-installing-intel-audio-dr...
So i understand. And i  choose to restore my windows to before version. And my audio came back to normal again.

Maybe anyone can help me, which driver i should install after update these window?
Because, i like new update in new windows version, but in the same time i don't want to lose my audio.

Thankyou.

From your description, it sounds like the following is happening:

1) suddently, audio does  not work anymore

2) you restore the PC such that an older driver version gets loaded

3) audio works, again

4) some time later, audio quits working

This is most likely happening because Win10 is FORCING the upgrade of your audio drive, and installing a NEW version that does not work.

Unfortunately, Win10 automatically forces driver updates on all of us, without our knowledge, and without our permission -- and when this happens, a working PC can suddenly become "broken".  This might have happened to you.

You need to consider disabling future driver updates using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.h...

Note: I have disabled driver updates on ALL my Win10 PCs, and life under Win10 has been a lot more pleasant every since!
