So I'm looking at upgrading my original 128gb m.2 to a 1tb m.2.
Now I know how to do install the new hardware myself.
But I would to know if I can do a full system restore using the system restore partition on the E drive?
Or will I need to install windows 10 from a usb stick and install the drivers manually?
Thanks.

Hi:
See if your specific model notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10) | HP® Customer Support
If your notebook is not supported by the cloud recovery tool, or for some reason it doesn't work, you will have to clean install W10 and install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
