HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have done a complete rebuild. Wiped disk.

Checked all running services and start up

Reduced them

I have removed bloat

I have run surface scans on disk - disk all good

I have 8GB RAM

My disk is only 1/4 full

I have now turned off fast start-up as tip on HP website

I have the latest WIN10 release

The laptop still takes at least 3 minutes to go from start up to windows logon

Any ideas ?

The fullness of the drive has no effect on the booting time unless it is nearly 100% full.

A PC with 8GB RAM boots no faster than a PC with 4GB of RAM.

Unless you are running Win10 v20H2 Build 19042.662 -- you do not have the latest version of Win10 running. But that said, the version of the Win10 release will have no affect on the boot time.

Without your model number, I have to guess you are using an HDD, not an SSD, and three minutes is not unusual for that kind of drive.
