Want to install SSD in HP Notebook 15

Hi ,

I want to install SSD for my HP laptop which i use for normal purposes  but i am unable to decide on which SSD to install due to  various options available in the market 

Can anyone suggest me which SSD would be better for my laptop in terms of type ,brand performance of the system

Below are the laptop details

Laptop - HP Notebook 15-bs539tu

Processor- Intel (R) core TM i5-7200U CPU@2.50GHZ 2.70 GHZ

System type -64 Bit Operating system

Installed RAM - 4 GB

Hard Disk capacity - 1TB

Windows 11

Hi:

Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

I recommend the Western Digital Blue SA510 M.2 SATA SSD if you can get it in India.

However I am having one query in respect of the recommendation you made  .

While searching for the same online  instead of M.2  is was showing as '2.5'.

So are they both the same or different 

Also will 250 Gb would be suffice for regular use

You're very welcome.

250 GB would be the lowest I would go for a storage capacity.

You may want to bump it up to 500 GB.

The 250 GB model is currently unavailable.

I also found that the previous 500 GB model is on sale for several hundred Rs less than the new SA510 model and the specs are the same.  I'd say this is quite a bargain.
