So I deleted all the font files in that directory and I have about 15,630,336 bytes free. I tried to install the update again and I get the same error. I am guessing there still is not enough free space yet? Is there other files you would recommend deleting as well?

15,630,336 bytes free is not enough. Read the 1-st post of this thread and follow what I did to free enough space for the update to pass. In addition you may check and update your BIOS prior to removing the old and current BIOS images, before you start the 24H2 update.

Running cmd as administrator?
And please, get to know "move". At the cmd prompt type move /? and comply with the command syntax.
Where do you want to move the source file? Did you type the path to the source correctly? What about the destination path?

Yes I was in an Admin CMD, but I think I am good now got the files moved and I think the update is now going hopefully I will finish without any errors. Will report back if failed. Thanks for all your help.

Hey the update worked! But sorry to throw more salt into the wound but I got the files moved back except one the MePending.bin . Is that an issue or should I not worry about it. Or is that important if I do a BIOS update down the road?

Ihave the same issue with a SFF Z2 G8
The solution is far too complex and is something that HP and Windows should come up with a far easier fix or avoid the issue altogether My understanding of command line is pretty basic - so you need to provide the commands of how to access the directory, find out whats in them and move them. Its really not good enough
Some things I learnt
You need to be in administrator mode for the powershel
finding a list of files is difficult - this command worked
PS Y:\efi> Get-ChildItem -Path Y:\efi -File -Recurse | Select-Object FullName, Length
There are Microsoft and HP files
HP files shown below
Its not clear what I can move safely
Just seems crazy that I need to do this at all
Update:
It did work in the end - after a few hours - I'm just a user who thinks that HP and Microsoft should sort it out and save folks like me the hassle. The HP advice mentions clean up tools - but doesnt say what or how. The idea that the EFI system drive is a measly 100MB and the HP files can cause problems leave me wondering how this can happen. The posts and comments help - but its NOT EASy or alt all WELCOME
