Thank you!!!  Windows update doesn't really tell you anything about it!  Plus, it's downloaded and ready to install.  A search for it is, shall we say, less than informative!

I agree with you 100%.  These updates tell you nothing.

 

You can see the driver version by going to the device manager.

 

Click to expand the System Devices category.

 

Find the HP mobile data protection sensor.

 

Click on that device, click on the driver tab and you should see the 7.0.17.1 driver version and applicable date.
